EXPERIENCE

Jeff is a design/project engineer who has been with Jacobson-Westergard & Associates, Inc. since 1995.  He started work with JW&A after graduating from ISU.  His duties include preliminary and final design, contract administration, inspection, permit applications, soils testing & classification and concrete testing and all other phases of work involved in municipal and private projects.

Low Impact Development (LID) has become a popular design element in the area, especially in the Iowa Great Lakes Region, to save the quality of the water.  Impurities are filtered out of storm water as it drains through aesthetically pleasing LID areas.  Jeff has become well-educated and experienced with this type of conservation practice and has designed LID areas for the Arnolds Park ballpark, for private condominiums, and for the Spirit Lake High School.  He utilized this knowledge while assisting in the design of a $4 million+ urban renewal project for East Okoboji Beach, a housing development on the east side of East Okoboji Lake, which involved completely reconstructing their streets and drainage system.
