EXPERIENCE

Scott joined Jacobson-Westergard & Associates after graduation from Iowa State University in 1984.  His experience includes all phases of engineering including design, construction inspection and contract administration.  He specializes in street design, rehabilitation and resurfacing, but he has also been involved in drainage work and utility design also. 

Scott was the project engineer for the large street paving project that was completed in Lake Park in 2002 - a $1.3 million project and also was in charge of the sizeable construction staking project that JW&A did for the Iowa Highway 60 project near Sheldon in 2006.  He was also involved in the design of a $4 million+ soon-to-be completed urban renewal project for East Okoboji Beach, a housing development on the east side of East Okoboji Lake, which involves updating their streets and drainage system.  This project is using tax increment financing (TIF) funding which allows for a certain area to pay higher property taxes to pay for an infrastructure project for a certain number of years.
